Family-Friendly Backyard Nature Projects

April 9, 2020 by Kelly Lenihan

With schools closed for the remainder of the year, a few family-friendly backyard nature projects might be the perfect way to get outside, enjoy spring weather, and open your child’s eyes to the world of nature and it’s many wonders.

Following are a few activities to get you started:

Weaving with Nature
Bird Therapy
Bringing Spring Indoors
Life Cycle of a Seed
The Wonder of Art in Nature
Colors of Nature: Easter Eggs
Does Your Child Collect Things? That’s A Good Thing
Family Fun: Rock Collecting

If you and/or your kids tackle any of the above listed projects, please come back and post pictures here, or on the blog posts themselves, I’d love to see what you create.
