Flower Power

August 29, 2020 by Kelly Lenihan

Sheltering-in-place has forced me to slow down, relax, and better enjoy my home environment. Given the choice, I can clean out the clutter (ugh), or spend time in my yard planting native plants for the birds and flowers for the hummingbirds and me (yea)!

Guess what choice I made?

Fortunately, I also have neighbors who enjoy their gardens, so taking my dog for a walk around the block is aways a treat. I never know what’s going to be blooming, so my phone or camera is always with me.

Bonus: I’ve made lot’s of birdie friends this year!

Here are some of the beautiful flowers in my yard or in my neighbors’ yards, a joyful reminder of the value of living in harmony with nature.
