On February 24, 2016, Lit World encourages children, parents, teachers, other educators, and librarians around the globe to read aloud. Lit World’s World Read Aloud Day (#WRAD16) champions the importance of telling stories, celebrating the power of words, and creating a community of readers.
Celebrated by millions of people in more than 100 countries, won’t you join in this very important mission? It’s easy! Here’s how:
Lit World provides participants with all the tools you need to spread the word about, and to participate in World Read Aloud Day. You can download community kits, classroom kits, schedule a virtual read aloud and more. Also, Lit World has a downloadable picture book, New Day, New Friends, which includes a discussion and activity guide.
Be sure to register with Lit World if you’re planning an activity or writing about World Read Aloud Day.
